From the idea to the solution.
From the solution to manufacture.

Solutions

Development, assembly and manufacture of electronic products, systems and equipment.

01

Project analysis

Once the request for collaboration on a project or the manufacture of boards has been received, IDK will identify and evaluate the project’s requirements, needs and associated risks.

In collaboration with the customer, the following stages commence:

  • First we define the need, whether for a new product or to improve an existing one. Goals are established and the technical and economic feasibility are evaluated.
  • Within the tender stage any possible risks are identified, such as the availability of components and delivery times, as well as specific needs for its industrialisation.
  • An initial analysis evaluates IDK’s ability to manufacture the project and the flexibility to adjust production according to demand.
02

Supply chain management

Coordination of the whole production flow from raw material supplies to the delivery of the finished item.

The management of the supply chain for electronic components is crucial to ensure the availability and quality of the end products.

  • Planning of the demand for electronic components using different supply chain management systems, using historical data and predictive analysis to plan future needs.
  • Purchase management and negotiation with Suppliers. Evaluate the production capacity, the quality of the components and the financial stability of the suppliers.
  • Risk management: Identify and mitigate risks by diversifying suppliers, creating secure inventories, managing component obsolescence and life cycle, as well as their environmental risk.
03

Prototype and process engineering

Design, definition and optimisation of the processes necessary for product industrialisation.

  • Manufacture dossier: The technical and functional requirements of the electronic board will be compiled and documented.
  • Detailed review of the BOM, parameterisation of the components, documentation of the PCB manufacture and other requirements due to quality and safety regulations.
  • Industrialisation of the process: The processes necessary for manufacture are specified. This includes the selection of production technologies and tools.
04

Mass production

Planning of the mass production and manufacture according to the standards agreed with the customer:

  • Automatic preparation of the raw material from the warehouse management system (WMS), with traceability and SMED criteria.
  • Automated assembly lines and precision assembly processes. Hi-tech machinery is responsible for assembling and soldering components, guaranteeing quality and repeatability in each unit produced.
  • Manufacturing flow adjusted according to demand and designed with a lean perspective to enable a dynamic response suited to the specific needs of each customer.
05

Test

Verification and assurance of product function by means of different control systems.

  • Device recording integrated in the test tools themselves.
  • Electrical tests: Any electrical connections and different measurements are verified in accordance with the conditions established.
  • Functional tests: The operating conditions are simulated by dedicated manual or automatic tools to ensure the circuit board meets the defined requirements.
06

Quality

Integrated quality management in all processes and systems of the organisation including a strict control of the raw materials, manufacturing processes and end product.

  • Incoming inspection to verify compliance according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Inspection during the manufacturing process using automatic methods such as AOI 3D, RX and different controls throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Various tests to ensure the quality of the welded joints.
  • Documentation and traceability: A detailed record is kept of all the tests and inspections performed.
  • Ongoing improvement and data analysis: Data from the different processes will be compiled and analysed to identify areas for improvement.
